This project took me around 2 hours total to make. I decided to go along with the pop art and minimalistic theme for my propaganda project. I used a selfie and placed it in illustrator so I could trace images and outlines of the original photo. I used Adobe color collector to grab a monochromatic group of orange colors so that my focal point/object would stand out. Blue and orange are complimentary colors and a very common color combination used today, they go very well with each other. I decided to add the pop of blue to make the lighter oranges stand out. I used the reference propaganda poster of "We Can Do It! with Rosie Riveter because I wanted to reference women's rights as well as give attention to the importance World War II. I changed the original text of the poster to SHE Can Do It so that my piece is more focused on women's rights rather than WWII.
